BHS Student Revitalizes School History Nathan Nichols BHS Senior, Colton Lively, is currently hard at work fixing up the Class of 1956 Sun Dial located behind the school for his Eagle Scout Project. This project is one that will require a lot of hard work and is sure to benefit the historical value of Bluefield High School. When asked where he got the idea for this project Colton replied, "after seeing all the hard work Student Council is doing with the Go Green Project I figured doing this would be helping to aid our mission to better the school." Many teachers and administrators have commented on the work that has already been done saying they are ecstatic to see what it will look like when Colton is finished.
Colton plans on adding bushes and flowers that will all be donated by the school and other civic organizations such as the Bluefield Garden Club. In the end, this project will be a great tribute to the BHS Class of 1956 and ensure their lasting memory. We will be updating Colton's project as the work continues.
